These are 20-minute studies above, and a 10-minute one at the bottom. All done with hard compressed U-Art charcoal on 18 x 24" sheets of cartridge paper.
The head study was much to fussily drawn. The latter two, done once a couple of distracting elements were over, were much better. I like the directness and spontaneity of the last one in particular.
