These were 15-minute poses. In the one, there was not time to add detail to her whole figure, but I like the partial quality, and it is one of the best likenesses I've set down of D- . I recall Tom Phillips from Artists 25 remarking that the first time one draws or paints a new subject is the most exciting, but the best work comes after repeated work with the same person. I don't know that I completely agree with that, but it's pretty much on the mark in my erxperience.
