9th Entry for July 17, 2011
I used the remainder of the evening to work on some more close-focus value studies. The upper two are 15-minute studies, and the lower two are 20-minute ones. All are done with hard compressed charcoal on 18 x 24" sheets of cartridge paper.
If anyone in the Toronto area is interested in learning more about life drawing, I'm teaching an intermediate-level life drawing workshop, August 2 - 6, from 9 - 4 daily. It's at the Toronto School of Art, and there is still some spaces available. It will focus half on skills refinement (gesture, contour, value, etc), and half on experimenting with colour, distortion, movement, and such.
You can get more info on the TSA and classes here.
Update -There are a good number of students for this, but there is still room for a couple of additional people. Anyone still wanting to join can show up Tuesday morning a little before 9 AM and register then.
