2nd Entry for June 1, 2010

These were all around two minutes. In addition to aerial studies, C- has a lot of yoga experience.

1st entry for June 1 2010

On the Tuesday I was back at Diane McGrath's studio, where C- was working. These were some 1-minute poses.

Topmost is a 10-minute study, and below are three 15-minute studies that closed off another saturated day of figure drawing.

3rd entry for May 28, 2010

I was back in in the evening, where I found A- working. These were 1-minute and 5-minute poses, respectively.

2nd entry for May 30, 2010

I stayed on for a bit of the afternoon, and B- came in to sit for the 3-hour session. Each of these was roughly 40 minutes in duration. In the lower one (done 2nd) I tried to emphasize the planes of B- 's face, but lost a bit in the articulation of head to body.

1st entry for May 30, 2010

I made it out to a portion of the Sunday morning session, where I found P- working. The only place to sit was closer than I prefer to be, which made it hard to fit the whole figure onto the page. (the pages in this case are 24" x 36" sheets of newsprint, as is usual for these posted studies.)

Rather than wrestle with that, I mostly tried to set down the P- ness of P- 's head, with varying degrees of success.

The two studies above were in the 10-minute range, and the two below around 15 minutes each.

2nd entry for May 28, 2010

Bottom to top these are a 10-minute, three 15-minute and a 20-minute study that finished the evening.
Nothing else was worth documenting from that night. (Nothing of my work, that is. G- herself was doing a typically fine job.)
The partial back study is not a catchy image, but I feel it has an honesty of description about it.
The head in the 2nd study down was weak, but the torso from the neck down was quite truthfully observed, I feel. It wasn't 'til then- almost the end of the night - that I really started to get properly engaged. The last full figure from the back worked out fairly well.
