Some material combinations don't work as happily. These are, bottom to top a 2-minute, a 5-minute and a 10-minute pose, with 8B graphite on 24 x 36 sheets of newsprint.
Even at its' softest, the tooth of newsprint is too soft to pick up much of the graphite.
