These are a couple of pairs of 10-minute and 15-minute studies that wrapped up the evening, with the last two costume changes.
I wouldn't have minded more time for many of the fabrics, but it was a good stretch to try.
The first three studies are on Canson Drawing paper. The third is just Pitt pen; the two above are a mix of pen and Progresso woodless pencil.
The last one is India ink washes and Pitt pen on Canson XL watercolour paper. I was burning out at that point, but it is disquieting in a way that suited the evening - and the crow was cute.
All are on 18 x 24" sheets of paper.

These are four 5-minute studies at top,  three 10-minute ones and a 15-minute one below. with some additional working on sequins and foot necrotizing of the last one during a break.
As is usually the case with the Dr. Sketchy's sessions, the costumes had a lot of textures and surfaces to work with, especially with veiling and lace. It's a very good drawing challenge.
The second-last one has a wee bit of Goya-ish ness that I'm liking more as time goes by.
The soundtrack for the night included a bunch of wedding-themed music, and will likely be one of the only times I'll draw accompanied by His Name Is Alive's "Are We Not Married".
The top four are Pitt pen on Canson Recycled paper, the next three are Pitt pen and India ink washes on Canson Drawing paper, and the bottom one is Pitt pen, ink washes and Progresso woodless colourted pencil on Canson XL watercolour paper. All are 18 x 24"

On the Friday night Dr Sketchy's  took place, this time with a corpse bride theme for Halloween. Regina Dentata was working that evening. The studies below of her initial wedding dress and black veil are 1-minute and 2-minutes each, using a calligraphy point Pitt pen on 18 x 24" sheets of Canson Recycled Sketch paper.
The upper study is 10-minutes, done with Pitt pen and India ink washes on an 18 x 24" sheet of Canson Drawing paper.

The final portion of the evening's posing was a tribute to GNR's Slash. These are three 5-minute studies  done with Pitt pen on 18 x 24" sheets of Canson Recycled sketch paper. The lower two are a 10-minute and a 15-minute study, done with water-soluble graphite on 18 x 24" sheets of Starthmore Watercolour paper.

It was Rock & Roll Circus night at the Dr. Sketchy's session at Round Venue on the Friday night. Originating in New York, Dr Sketchy's `Ant-Art School' is a franchise of drawing sessions that bring burlesque and performance art people to pose, with drinks, prizes and soundtracks thrown into the mix.
The sessions bring out a lot of cartoonists, animators and illustrators. The costumes add an extra level of challenge to the drawing, though as always, a good understanding of body shapes really helps the process of drawing people in costume.

 Carmen La Bomba was working that night, doing a tribute to Gene Simmons and Slash. Above is a 10-minute study, and below are a series of 1-minute, 2-minute and 3-minute studies.

These are all done wit pitt pen on 18 x 24" sheets of Canson Recycled Sketch paper.
