On the Friday I was able to come out for the 2nd part of the drawing session in the evening. S- was working, and it was the first time I had drawn her. Above are two 10-minute studies, and below a 15-minute one. All are done with graphite on 18 x 24" cartridge paper.

These were 20-minute studies, that ended the evening. The one above is graphite on 18 x 24" cartridge paper, the one below is on 18 x 24" Japanese paper, also with soft graphite.

From above, these are a 5-minute, a 10-minute and a 20-minute study of H- . Not my strongest drawing that night, through no fault of hers. All are done with soft graphite on 18 x 24" cartridge paper. The head study only covers an area of about 3" x 5" on the page.

Other concerns took me away from much drawing during the next week. On the Sunday morning I did get some time, and found G- working at the TSA. These were from the top a 1-minute, a 5-minute and a 10-minute study, each on a sheet of 18 x 24" cartridge paper with soft graphite.

Above are two 15-minute studies, below are two 20-minute ones. All are done on sheets of 18 x 24" Japanese paper. The last one, with the extremely foreshortened view, was the one in which I most felt like I was using my preferred mix of Conte crayon and newsprint yet, and the paper is so much more archival.
