These are some further studies of Murray on straps and rope - four 3-minute studies above, and two 5-minute ones below. All are done with hard compressed charcoal on 18 x 24" sheets of Canson Recycled Sketch paper.

*** If you want to get a portrait sketch done at the Toronto School of Art on Nuit Blanche (Sept 29) take note: you can come in for 20 minutes, get your portrait sketched by a group of people, and you'll get to take home your favourite sketch. (Tonight - April 12 from 7 - 11 PM the Toronto School of Art is having it's spring Open House. You can see some of the work from my classes and many of the other courses - lots of good work to check out!)
On the Monday after noon I checked out the AGO's new open drawing session, where I found P-   flanked by the Rodin statues in Walker Court.
These are 3-minute studies, done with graphite on 18 x 24" sheets of Canson  Recycled Sketch paper. (they have a graphite-only rule there, which doesn't fully suit my high-contrast, charcoal-happy self these days) The space was bright and huge to work in, which was a change of pace.

On Tuesday I found S- , who I am familar with from life drawing sessions working at Diane's Drawing Room session. These were some of the 1-minute poses that she took.

On Tuesday I got to Artists 25 earlier than I expected, in spite of my bicycle being in the shop (it was damaged when some weasel tried to steal it...). I was happy to find that D- was working that evening. These were some 5-minute and 10-minute poses he did.
