On the day before the session I noticed someone on a Queen St curbside
talking on her cellphone, and thought the everyday body language of phoning could
be interesting to play with. At top are three poses with phone that T- came up with. Below
that is a 5-minute study, and at bottom two random-length short studies
from the last part of the session.
All are done with hard compressed charcoal on 18 x 24" sheets of bond paper.
The Fall Toronto School of Art term starts very soon, and that's a chance to push -or gain- skills of your own. I teach
Intermediate/Advanced Figure Drawing on Wednesday nights, and
Introductory Figure Drawing on Saturday mornings.
