These are 15-minute studies, all on sheets of Durotone paper. The top two and the lowest one are on 24 x 36" sheets and the other two are on pieces 1/2 that size. All are done with hard Nobel charcoal.
I don't have opportunities to work with Ed too often, but he is a very dramatic model. We're lucky to have a number of really good strong models these days to work with. I was happy to be able to get him in for one day of the Anatomy intensive I taught a couple of weeks after this session.
