2nd entry for Sept 2, 2012

These are three 10-minute studies above and four 15-minute ones below.  The top five are on 18 x 24" sheets of Canson Recycled Sketch paper, and the two lowest ones are on 22 x 30" sheets of 90 lb Maidstone rag paper.
This coming Saturday (Sept. 29) is Nuit Blanche in Toronto.  I'm helping organise an all-night portrait event at the Toronto School of Art:

If you can come in for 20 minutes to get your portrait sketched by a group of people, you'll get to take home your favourite sketch. You can contact thomasdraws@yahoo.ca to arrange the time you're coming. Please pass the word along - we still have some spaces available from 7 PM through to 7 AM.

We're also still looking for a few more sketchers who can come in late in the night - either from 1 AM to 4 AM, or from 4AM to 7AM. It's really good portrait practice, to draw a succession of different people over 3 hours. The person whose sketch gets chosen by a sitter gets a small prize in return - a little bit of cash, some drawing session vouchers, or some other small gift. If you want to take part, contact me at the thomasdraws yahoo address above.
