On the Tuesday I was over at Artists 25. C- was working there as well. These are a 2-minute, a 5-minute and a 10-minute study, done using hard compressed charcoal on 18 x 24 sheets, of bond paper at top, and Canson Sketch paper on the two below.
(Depending on your computer, the images on the blog don't always display with their full range of values. Clicking on any of the posted pictures will access a larger version with a truer value range...)
A week in the life of my drawing process. Put me in front of a human being and I can work away, happy as a clam.
What most moves me is responding in drawing to living, breathing people: I want to record them, and I explore, bit-by-bit, different materials and strategies for setting down those responses.
People who are looking to do some art modelling may also find this a casual archive of potential pose ideas, with over 4950 studies now posted.
I can't claim that they are all great drawings, but I've left what I feel are the real stinkers out of the mix.
More finished artwork of mine can be seen on my Flickr account - you can find a link to that below.
