On the Monday night, I went over to the Ralph Thornton Center. S- was working, and these are a 1-minute, two 5-minute and a 10-minute studies.
All of these are done with hard compressed Nobel charcoal on 18 x 24" sheets of Canson Sketch paper, into which some powdered charcoal was rubbed beforehand (to provide a slighly random base tone on the paper).
