2nd entry for Sept 23, 2012
Above are two 15-minute studies, and below that is a couple of 20-minute ones. The top two studies and the bottom one are done with hard compressed Nobel charcoal on 22 x 30" sheets of 90 lb Maidstone rag paper.
The second-lowest one is done with HB conte crayon on a 23 x 34" sheet of the 90 lb `mystery rag' paper I got from Woolfitt's. No smudging before or afterwards on this one.
If you haven't already checked them out, the Sunday night open drawing sessions at the TSA are a good place to draw. It's three hours, poses running from 1 minute up to 15 or 20 minutes, and it's not a big crush of people like some sessions. Just a good, quiet vibe.
