1st entry for Oct 12, 2012

On the Friday evening, Carmina was working. These are 1-minute studies, done with medium compressed charcoal on 18 x 24" sheets of bond paper.
As a change of approach I was trying to look at her body forms as a series of overlapped shapes, rather than starting with more of a gestural `armature' to clothe with body mass.

Starting very soon, there's a special 6-week intro to life drawing I'll be teaching at the Toronto School of Art, on Tuesday mornings. You can get more details via the TSA website.
