4th entry for January 3, 2010
My desire to spend two to three hours drawing Z- in the afternoon got truncated by having to pick up & drop off work at galleries during a snowstorm at lunch. By the time my errands were run I had an hour left.
This was also done on 24" x 36" Japanese paper, using Conte crayon. Z- was mainly in shadow in a fairly dark room, and as an experiment I limited the shading to a bit of the surrounding space, and the beginnings of the shadows on her, letting the rest of the shadowed areas trail away.
... have I mentioned about the drawing classes I teach starting soon at the TSA - info available here for that.
