The year (and the decade) started with Z- working at the TSA on the Sunday day. These were 1-minute gesture studies and two 5-minute studies. Her gesture poses had a graceful dance quality to them. I consider the gesture sketches especially worthwhile as a way of getting freer and more confident in drawing and in descrcribing body mechanics.
For anyone in the Toronto area, I might add that the Toronto School of Art's 12-week winter session of courses is starting, and I teach both introductory and continuing figure drawing there. For more details, check here.
