These are four 5-minute studies above, two 10-minute ones below that, and a 15-minute study at bottom.
The bottom one is water-soluble graphite on an 18 x 24"sheet of 150 lb Maidstone paper. All the others are done with a Pentel brushpen on 18 x 24"sheets of paper as well; the top two on Canson Recycled Sketch paper, the ones below that on Canson XL Drawing paper. For the longer studies I did a little bit of pencil undersketching, too keep proportions in line a bit.
