2nd Entry for June 20, 2011
(Those of you who like my figure drawings can come say hello and see a number of them in person at the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition. It takes place July 8th through 10th at Nathan Philips Square in Toronto. I'll be in the Yellow section, Booth 12, showing some of the last year's studies on Japanese paper. To get an idea of what will be there, check the tag `washi' here on the blog's sidebar. For more details on the show, and a map of the square, click here. )
These are a pair of 5-minute studies above. Below are two 10-minute ones. All are done on sheets of 18 x 24" cartridge paper with hard compressed charcoal. I had forgotten my increasingly-essential reading glasses, and in between the 5 and 10-minute poses, I ducked out and got a cheap pair at the local drugstore.
