These two 15-minute studies were the only other worthwhile ones from that session.
The head study in particular was a sort of `knock-down drag-out' struggle to get a decent likeness of J- . As noted below, when the drawing went well that nightg it went very well, and others sank miserably.
Some nights are like that.
