After a very enjoyable open house weekend at my studio, I went over to the TSA to do some drawing on the Sunday night. S- was working, and these are some 1-minute studies and a 5-minute one.
These were both 20-minute poses that E- took to finish the night. Like any of the studies posted on this blog and not otherwise noted, these are done with HB Conte crayon on 24" x 36" sheets of newsprint.
If anyone is in the Toronto vicinity today (Sunday, Mar 28th,) I am hosting an open house at my studio until 6 pm. All are welcome to come visit. send me a message if you want the details.
These are a 15-minute standing pose and a couple of 20-minute poses. The proportions in my drawing were a little more slippy than usual, but I'm always partial to the drama of foreshortened poses.
On Thursday there was the opening of a show of TSA students, called "PS- Art Out Loud", and I spent a bit of time at the opening for it. It was a real pleasure to see some of the people I have taught having grown so much. On account otf that I arrived late to drawing. G- was working, and these are one 1-minute and two 10-minute poses of his.
I'm a Toronto- based artist. My focus is on the human form, primarily through drawing. I'm mostly posting work on Tumblr now(link below.) This blog remains a process-intensive diary of over 10,000 studies spanning more than 7 years.
(More finished work of mine can be found as well on my Flickr account - there's a link for that below as well)
