On the Sunday night M- was working. I started teaching a new term of life drawing last week at the TSA, and as usual I was pontificating about the merits of gesture drawing. I really do think it is a very useful element of getting good at drawing people. These were 1-minute poses.
Even making longer non-figurative works, gestures add something good to my own drawing practice. Some of those longer, non-figure drawings are on show this weekend at my booth at the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition - Booth 368 in the Green section, July 9, 10 & 11th.
