2nd entry for April 30, 2010





These were 10-minute and 15-minute poses that S- took. The poses weren't unduly complex, but her hair invited a lot of mark-making possibilities. S- had quite a striking face, so I spent a fair bit of time trying to set that down as well.

People in the Toronto area who are interested in working on longer figure drawings or paintings should look into a workshop I'm offering May 17-21st called "Body politics", where each day we will have a model worling on a day-long pose in a settings that situate bodies into narrative or symbolic contexts.
