1st entry for January 10 2010

On Sunday, D- was working at the TSA in the evening. These were some of his 1-minute poses.

2nd entry for January 8 2010

These were 15-minute and 20-minute poses that finished that evening. Some nights go better than others in drawing people, and that evening worked out well, which is always gratifying.
I felt I was a little more successful than usual in setting down S- 's likeness that night, which is particularly pleasing in my books.

5th Entry for January 5, 2010

These were 10-minute studies from the latter part of the evening. Doing so many short studies has the effect of making ten minutes seem like a huge length of time. It's interesting how relative time can seem in that regard.

(I notice that relativity of time in effect while teaching art classes as well - it's lucky that models can help as timekeepers! A couple of those courses are starting - one tomorrow - Wed night Jan 20, and another on Saturday morning, Jan 23, for any of you looking for life drawing instruction in the Toronto area- details can be found if you click here.)
