3rd entry for Oct 22, 2013
These are three 5-minute studies above, two 10-minute ones below that, and a 15-minute pose at bottom. The top five are done with a Pitt medium point marker and some Pentel brushpen, on 18 x 24"sheets of Canson XL Drawing paper.
THe bottom one is done with water-soluble graphite on 18 x 24" 150 lb. Maidstone rag paper, with some additional graphite shading added later.

2nd entry for Oct 22, 2013
These are four 3-minute studies above, and two 5-minute ones below, done on 18 x 24"sheets of Canson Recycled Sketch paper. Zita was in character while posing as a clown she is developing, and she had a lot of expression while posing, in stilts - up in the air. Which is pretty hardcore, when you think about it.

1st entry for Oct 22, 2013
On the Tuesday afternoon, it was Zita on stilts at Diane's Drawing Room aerial/circus session. These are some 1-minute, 2-minute and 3-minute studies. All are done with a Pitt calligraphy tip marker on 18 x 24" sheets of paper; cartridge paper for the top five, and Canson Recycled Sketch paper for the lower three.

2nd entry for Oct 19, 2013
These are two 10-minute studies at top, a pair of 15-minute head studies, and two 20-minute studies below.
These are all on 18 x 24" sheets of paper. The top four are all done with Pentel brushpen, and the bottom two are done with water soluble graphite.
The top three are on sheets of Canson Recycled sketch, the fourth is on Canson XL Drawing paper and the lower two are on 90 lb Somerset Book paper.
I like the spontaneous ink wash/marker look of the graphite washes. I especially like that it is fadeproof, too.

1st entry for Oct 19, 2013
(If you have the bug to do some uninstructed life drawing practice, the Toronto School of Art currently has three evening pay-as-you-go sessions:
Tuesday nights (** moving to Mondays starting Nov 11**) - short poses
Thursday nights - short poses
Friday nights - one studio with short poses and one with a long pose.
They all run 6 PM to 9 PM and cost $10 per session.)
I went over to the Sackville Saturday morning session, where I found it was Amanda working. These are three 1-minute studies at top, and four 5-minute ones below.
All these are done with a Pentel brushpen on 18 x 24" sheets of paper with no under-drawing; the top four are on cartridge paper, and the lower three on Canson Recycled Sketch paper.

2nd entry for Oct 17, 2013
These are longer studies. The top three are 10 minutes each; the next three are 15 and the bottom one was roughly 25 minutes.
The top six are all done with Pentel pen on 9 x 12" sketchbook sheets, and anything over 10 minutes has some pencil undersketching to help get the scale of the tiny figures (at least for me... ) to work. The last one is done with water soluble graphite on a 9 x 12" sheet of 150 lb Maidstone rag paper. It had some post-session reworking in pencil as well.
