6th Entry for July 30, 2009 (post # 300!)

This blog began its life in December of 2008, emerging out of frustration with my earlier Yahoo 360 home. This marks the 300th post on it.
The studies here are all 5 minute ones, done after we took a break and changed equipment. They are done like most others posted here using HB conte crayon on 24 x 36" newsprint.

4th Entry for July 30, 2009

These were 3-minute poses that M- did on trapeze. I always feel a sense of drama from him posing, regardless of the situation.

3rd Entry for July 30, 2009

These were all in the 2-minute range, and are in sequence that M- took them, top to bottom. His transition from pose to pose is interesting.

2nd Entry for July 30, 2009

Each of these were 1-minute poses, and these are in order of M- taking them. He often has a flow from pose to pose, each a shift rather than being a jump. I was impressed by his strength, especially in sustaining upside-down poses.

1st entry for July 30, 2009

I was looking forward to the Thursday session at the Drawing Room, because the model was going to be a male for a change. So far, the majority of aerialists and people posing aerially for Diane have been overwhelmingly male. I was anticipating some young gymnast type, but it was a pleasant and unexpected surprise to find M- was the one working. He is such a good model that it was interesting to see what he would do with diffeent equipment to work with, and he didn't disappoint.
These are two 30-second poses using a trapexe and a thick rope suspended from the ceiling respectively.

Entry for July 26, 2009

On Sunday afternoon I had the pleasure of seeing my sister act in an out-of-town play. By the time I was back home, there was only time to pick up on the last hour of the Sunday night drawing session. L- was working, and these were all 15-minute poses.
