On the Sunday night, after a good rest and a few days' hiatus from figure drawing, I got over to the TSA. T- was working that night, and these are two 5-minute studies above, and three 10-minute ones below. All are done with hard compressed charcoal on 18 x 24" sheets of cartridge paper.
I was interested to note that one of the charcoal sticks that I was using delivered a more smooth-grained shading stroke than others.
(I used it on the second study from the top).
