2nd entry for May 23, 2014

My attention was diverted when I noticed that local burlesque performer Mitzi Cream had begun taking some poses. These are however-long-they-are studies (maybe 5 minutes each). All are on 12 x 18" or 17" square sheets of Canson Recycled Sketch paper.
I was struggling, as I often do, with how to convey a smooth, rounder-faced person's facial features with an ink line, which often seems too hard, meaning every line must be essential, and the Pitt felt markers have no provision for retracting a mark, which is challenging and ever-so-slightly stressy for me while working. But great discipline, too.
