On the Monday night I was at the Dr. Sketchy's session at the Cameron House. The model this time was P- . He started the evening in a glam space-opera ensemble. These are 1-minute studies, done with hard compressed charcoal on 18 x 24" sheets of cartridge paper. I have a fondness for old pulp sci-fi imagery with ray pistols and futuristic outfits, so it was fun having someone playing with that theme. The time is really limited though, to try to set much of that down.
Before P- made his entrance I was warming up on the sheet below, goofing around on channeling my inner child. I firmly believe it's good to not be afraid to do silly things.
