2nd Entry for Oct 31, 2010

These are 15-minute studies of L-   , done on sheets of Japanese paper in the 13 x 20" size range. The Japanese paper has a better tooth than the cartridge to pick up the graphite (and it lasts better, in the long run). These studies are still a lot more pencil-ly looking than the Conte studies I've been doing, and a bit more cautious, but I felt they still show promise.

Some of these new studies - and a number of older ink drawings and charcoal drawings on Japanese paper - will be on show this weekend at my studio Open House. 1 pm to 6 pm, Nov 20 & 21, at 165 Bathurst St, Toronto (just south of Queen St.)
Come visit if you can
