On the Tuesday afternoon after my class, Z- came over to work with me, and I was trying out a few types of Japanese paper, aka washi.
These were both in the 45 minute range, drawn with graphite on a couple of different types of washi. they were the ones I was happiest with. I felt in particular that there is is a clarity of expression and a spark in the reclining pose that I like and that considerably exceeds my average. These are on 18" x 24" sheets of paper.
