 .... and on to March:

 The model on the Tuesday night as P-    , who was a new model. These are, from the top,  a 5-minute and 10-minute study on 18 x 24" cartridge paper,  then a 20-minute study on 18 x 24" Japanese paper.
All are done with graphite.

2nd Entry for Feb 25, 2011

These are a 10-minute pose above, and two 15-minute ones below. These are also done with graphite on 18 x 24" cartridge paper.  I'm quite happy with the value range in the bottom two images, and with the degree of connectedness within the drawing.

On the Friday, I was sufficiently ready for the Open House I was having that evening that I went over to do some drawing at the TSA.
S-  was working that night as well. These are, from the top, a 1-minute, and three 5-minute studies. All are done on 18 x 24"cartridge paper with 8B graphite.

4th Entry for Feb 22, 2011

The upper study of H-  and A-   is a 20-minute one, with 8B graphite on 18 x 24" Japanese paper.

The one below is 25 minutes, with the same materials.
There was a nice rapport between the two of them, and while it verges on cliche, the interplay between A-  's lean-ness and H -   's fuller forms worked well.  Drawing two people together like this is something I really enjoy. It happens very rarely, but when it does, it requires all my focus to keep all the shapes in sync with each other. That worked pretty well at points on this evening.

Above is a roughly 10-minute study, with graphite on cartridge paper.  Below was a 20-minute study, also done with graphite, on 18 x 24" Japanese paper.

In order from the top, these are two 5-minute studies, then two 10-minute studies of A - and H-  .
Graphically, I like the 2nd one down, where H-  's image is lighter in the background. It was a happy accident - I ran out of time to set her down any more than that.

These are shown in the order they were drawn, and you can see how I got more connected to the drawing as each pose they did progressed.

All of these are 8B graphite on 18 x 24" cartridge paper.

On the Tuesday I got out to Artists 25. Owing to what turned out to be a happy accident, both A-  and H-    had been lined up separately to work,  and both were all right with working together, so we got to draw some duo poses. 
The topmost one is about a minute of drawing, and all of the others below are 2-minute studies, all done with graphite on 18 x 24" cartridge paper.
