5th Entry for July 14, 2011
The last part of the evening I returned to the close-focus value studies I've been doing.
Above are two 15-minute studies, and below two 20-minute ones. All are done with hard compressed charcoal on 18 x 24" sheets of cartridge paper.
If anyone in the Toronto area is interested in learning more about life drawing, I'm teaching an intermediate-level life drawing workshop, August 2 - 6, from 9 - 4 daily. It's at the Toronto School of Art, and there is still some spaces available. It will focus half on skills refinement (gesture, contour, value, etc), and half on experimenting with colour, distortion, movement, and such.
You can get more info on the TSA and classes here.
